Aaron Engle Law To Sponsor Second Annual Brain Injury Golf Tournament

Attorney Fred Langer is excited to be serving as the chair for the Brain Injury Golf Tournament to be held on Monday, July 31st at the private Glendale Country Club in Bellevue! Last year, we raised almost $70,000, but we know that we can do more.

Every year, tens of thousands of children up to age 19 suffer brain injuries (also known as traumatic brain injury) as a result of falls, playing sports, physical abuse and other factors. They are the number one cause of death and disability for young people, according to the Brain Injury Association of America. Sports and recreational activities contribute to about 21 percent of all traumatic brain injuries among American children and adolescents, according to the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.

For many years, Aaron Engle Law has been representing young victims of brain injury when they need help most. This year, we’re proud to have a former client of our firm, Zackery Lystedt, serving as the Grand Marshall for the golf tournament. Zackery is himself a survivor of a serious traumatic brain injury, and his historic case led to the creation of a law, the Zackery Lystedt Law, that protects young athletes throughout Washington.

The Brain Injury Alliance of Washington was founded in 1982 by family members determined to create a support system for those whose lives are affected by brain injury. Part of its mission is to reduce all preventable brain injuries in children and youth, especially those suffered on the field of play, and to ensure the availability of necessary resources and support for a lifetime.

The Brain Injury Golf Tournament supports BIAWA’s pediatric programs. Many people already know that Brain Injury is the #1 cause of death and disability for children. You can help to prevent all preventable brain injuries in children and youth by joining us for a great afternoon of golf.

The cost to enter the tournament is $250 a player, or $900 for a foursome. A dinner and cocktails only option is available for $75. There will also be a silent auction.

You will have exclusive access to the private Glendale Country Club, conveniently located near downtown Bellevue. Glendale’s 18-hole championship layout has played host to 11 State Opens and is recognized as one of Washington’s best maintained properties. The course is both exciting and challenging for players of every skill level. Do not miss your chance to play on this beautiful, private golf course while absolutely making a difference in the lives of thousands.
